Our generation has become hooked to our electronic gadgets so much that our mobile phones and laptops seem like an extended part of our body. Plan a Holiday
In this world where being busy is the new in-trend we have forgotten what it is like to take a holiday like old times when planning for a holiday used to be as much fun as going on a trip. Go to a place where you have always wanted to go and take your family with you. Explore your inner traveler and see how it rejuvenates your soul.
Mark a day in the calendar
Every week mark a day in your calendar where you and your family spend the time without any electronic gadget. Don’t watch TV or any movie, just sit back and relax and talk to each other. The first few days might get awkward but after a while the conversation starts flowing and you will start looking forward to the day where you all sit together.
Go back to your roots
Remember when we were kids and we didn’t have mobile phones and electronic gadgets in our hands all the time. Revisit that time and recollect how you used to spend your evening. Take out those old board games and spend a few evenings playing and teaching your kids the old tricks that you have hidden up your sleeves. Go out to a park to play ball or to just hang around on the swings. Take out your rusty bicycle for a ride.
Start doing things together
Start by doing small things together, if you don’t eat together then start eating together. Try to sync your routine in tune with each other. Start exercising together or join a yoga or aerobics class together. Start using your hands and make some DIY handcraft together and display it in the house. Every time you see it in the display, it will surely bring a smile to your face.
If you are spending time with your loved ones be it your child or your partner, you need to be present with them with your whole body and soul. If you are spending time creatively with your loved ones not only you are forming an unbreakable bond but also you start understanding each other’s ways and manners more clearly.
